This year, The Evening Standard printed its final paper ahead of a move to weekly-only editions and a rebrand. This is undoubtedly tied to the rise of social media. According to research from Press Gazette on where Britons get their news, social media (33%) was found to have a larger share than printed publications (15%).

But is this a bad thing or just a natural evolution?
